Hasslefree Miniatures are a web based company that produce some high quality gaming miniatures for the role playing and war games market for reasonable prices (they also bundle in sweets with each purchase which is nice). They recently produced a Red Sonja miniature, named Sana (probably for copyright reasons). She is supplied unpainted and will set you back £4.17 for a metal version and £11.66 for resin. Not bad prices for a 28mm high miniature.
She can be found in the Fantasy Human section at http://www.hfminis.co.uk/
This one is mine and painted by yours truly.

The reason she's called "Sana" is pretty convoluted and nothing to do with dodging IP.
ReplyDeleteShe was made in what I hoped was a style similar to the minis made by Tré Manor of Red Box Miniatures.
"Tré"(+s, sounds the same as Tré) is french for "Very".
"Very" in Swahili is "sana", as in "assante sana" which means "thank you very much".
So, like I said, pretty convoluted but someone managed to guess it when she was previewed earlier this year.
Aside from supeficial likeness, she was not intended to be a miniature of Red Sonja. Any perceived likeness is coincidental and unintentional.
"Aside from superficial likeness" should be "Despite superficial likenesses".
